Lisa Andrews Moore, 60, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 27, 1965, in Lakeland, Florida, Lisa was deeply rooted in the community she would call home for nearly her entire life. In 1978, as just a teenager, she met the love of her life, Stanley “Skip” Moore, at First United Methodist Church. Their story came full circle when they were married there on June 7, 1986. Together, they built a beautiful life in Lakeland, sharing nearly 40 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and unwavering devotion to their family. Lisa graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in computer science and mathematics. In 1996, she founded MIS, Inc., a technology consulting firm through which she served higher education institutions, healthcare systems, and municipalities across the nation. Over the next 17 years, she built a respected and impactful business before successfully selling it and leaving behind a legacy of leadership, innovation, and excellence. A natural mentor and encourager, Lisa invested deeply in the lives of young people through years of service in youth ministry, first in Arkansas during her husband’s Air Force service, and later back home in Lakeland, where she and Skip faithfully poured into generations of students. She often centered her teaching around one simple but powerful word: edify; to build up, encourage, and strengthen others. That word became a guiding principle not only in her ministry, but in her business, her friendships, and her family. Lisa will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her creativity, and her unmatched ability to bring people together. She had a gift for hosting, whether it was elaborate themed parties, lively poker nights, unforgettable birthdays, or playful events like “Danger Men Cooking.” If she wasn’t planning a party, she was planning the next adventure. She loved creating meaningful experiences for those she loved, whether on a houseboat, at a beach house, or at her River Haven vacation home on the Rainbow River. Her greatest joy in later years was becoming “Mimi.” She poured her creativity and love into her grandchildren, planning annual themed birthday trips that they will cherish forever. She created not just celebrations, but memories, ones filled with laughter, joy, and a deep sense of being loved. Lisa is loved by her devoted husband, Stanley Moore, her children Meghan Phillips (JP), Jacob Moore (Madison), 8 grandchildren: Piper, Anniston, Ledger, Miller, Wiley, Oakley, Lainey and Conrad, her brother, Mike Andrews (Patti), her sister, Linda Stiffler; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bob and Artie Andrews. Lisa’s life was marked by her ability to uplift others, to create joy, and to bring people together. Her legacy of love, generosity, and encouragement will live on in all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Florida, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
