Elaine Sheffield

Elaine Sheffield Went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Berta Mock. She was a Lakeland resident for over 50 years moving across the country and settling in Georgia then finally Florida. Elaine was a member of Victory Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, loved the colors yellow and blue. She also loved anything related to South Korea, especially listening to Korean music and Korean dramas. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Melissa Sheffield and Renee Price, her sons Robert Cloud and Chris Sheffield, grandchildren Erika Wilkerson, Peyton Sheffield, Brandon Mathey, Brittney Walker, Ashley Boyd, Hannah Perez, and Christopher Jr., great grandchildren Bryson and Levi Salazaar, Aiden and Jaxton Wilkerson, her brothers David Mock, Walt Mock and Mike Mock, her sister Theresa Mock and many other family and friends. Mom, To the person who always loved me no matter who I was...mom I love you so much, there are not enough words, hours, minutes, or days for me to even try. You were always there when I needed you even if I didn’t know it. You have always been and will always be my best friend. We spent my whole life together, there was never a day when I didn’t see your face or hear your voice. We would spend hours on the phone about nothing but never ran out of things to say. You were the one constant in my life even through so much chaos. To begin with I want you to know you have been the best Mother to me even in my darker days. You never judged me, just helped me to overcome the obstacles. The last few months have been the best from laughter to the tears. You always found a way to make the situation not seem so big. You have built a dynasty of the true meaning of love. My heart is broken but at the same time so happy for you that you have peace and are surrounded by the loved ones that you missed. You are my Rock and always will be. I know sometimes I don't know how to put my feelings into words, but I know you know and are even now understanding what I want to say. Fly high my angel and rest easy knowing you had your wish come true. I love you Mama❤️ Nene, I’m not sure what I’m really supposed to do when a crucial part of my life is gone. From me running over to your closet to check on the baby birds, opening the fridge to see you’ve stocked it with so many of my favorite snacks, seeing you happy to see me when I stopped by randomly, coming to pick me up from the dealership when I was getting my car worked on and hearing George Lopez blast when I walked by your room at night, to Frazier during the day while we hung out on the front porch. I do know that when the years pass, holidays come and go, nights get lonely, I’ll never forget you. My heart is broken, and I’ll miss you forever. If I could be an ounce of the person, you were/was, I'd be doing the world a favor. I didn’t make the volleyball team, but I will practice and try harder next year. I have straight A's so far and I made new friends. Don't worry I'll watch all the new episodes of Descendants of the Sun and tell you about them. You were amazing and one of the best parts of my life. I love you so much NeNe and you were the best.
